Begun in Gaeta, Italy, and completed in Lexington, Virginia, it combines the artistâs graphic inventiveness and poetic sense of history, rhythm, and elision.
In addition to full-page reproductions of each part, the volume includes an essay and poem by David Shapiro and a poem by Patricia Waters.
