Gagosian Quarterly: Fall 2024 Issue

The Fall 2024 issue of Gagosian Quarterly is now available, featuring Andy Warhol’s Mao (1972) on the cover. Jessica Beck discusses Warhol’s Mao series, contextualizing the artist’s return to painting in the early 1970s and his attraction to subjects of notoriety. The third installment of the Quarterly’s “Gagosian&” series complements Social Abstraction, a two-part exhibition in Beverly Hills and Hong Kong curated by Antwaun Sargent.
