Jenny Saville: Study for the Eyes of Argus T-shirt

This T-shirt was produced in 2021 on the occasion of a multi-venue exhibition that placed Jenny Saville’s work in dialogue with masterworks of the Italian Renaissance across five museums in Florence: Museo Novecento, Museo di Palazzo Vecchio, Museo dell’Opera del Duomo, Museo degli Innocenti, and Museo di Casa Buonarroti.

The front features Saville’s Study for the Eyes of Argus (2021)—a large drawing of an eye, sketched in colored pencil—a distinctive example of the artist’s research focused on the body and flesh of her subjects.
