Masa Designs: Organic Lunar Stone Platter

Designed by legendary chef Masayoshi Takayama, known as Masa, this stoneware dish is made by hand in Japan’s Okayama Prefecture. Part of Masa’s Lunar Stone collection, each platter is unique in size and shape, combining rugged textures with elemental forms. Designed to plate Wagyu tataki, it may also be used to serve fruit or as a charcuterie board.

Following the seven principles of shibusa—simplicity, implicitness, modesty, naturalness, imperfection, everydayness, and silence—the Masa Designs collection is crafted to improve the aesthetics of everyday life. Markings and coloring may vary due to the unique nature of the production and firing processes.
