The exhibition featured many of Princeâs iconic cowboy, girlfriend, and advertisement photographs and illuminated the process of ârephotographyâ that the artist adopted in 1977. Appropriating images from lifestyle magazines and advertising, Prince redefined the concepts of authorship and originality. Untitled (Sunset) depicts a young boy and a clown puppet in low-resolution black and white against a red-orange backdrop that evokes the close of day.
