Richard Serra: Junction / Cycle

This poster featuring Junction (2011) was produced in 2011, in conjunction with the exhibition Richard Serra: Junction / Cycle at Gagosian, 555 West 24th Street, New York. A black-and-white photograph, taken by Lorenz Kienzle, shows a detail of the large-scale curving weatherproof steel sculpture, which was on view with Cycle (2010). Both monumental works elaborate on Serra’s singular formal syntax, which saw him treat space as a material made distinct through constructed form.
